U.S. out again!

The U.S. team is out of the world cup again! Not surprising but what was surprising is who beat them and how they were beaten. The U.S. was given a tough braket to begin with while powerhouses like England were given an easy bracket. The U.S. was not picked to advance through their bracket besides being ranked as high as fourth in the World. I have mixed feelings about the two loses and tie because the first and last game was an embarrasment, but the second game against Italy with all odds against them the us team showed character that most American fans would be proud of. I didn't expect the U.S. to win it all but I did expect to score more than one goal, or to win at least one game. The U.S. National team after the 1998 games made a commitment to form a team that would win the world cup in 2010, but I have little to be excited about in four years. A new coach and new style is underway, with new players and leaders coming into play. Maybe freddie adu will bring the U.S. into soccer glory as Pele did with Brazil. All I know is that U.S. soccer is far from winning a world cup and most American could care less.

I'm Back

I know. I know. I said the previous post was my last but I have had a change of heart because too much has happen to LSU and the Saints to sit back and not say anything. Though I will have less hits or people reading my post does not mean I will stop with my writing. So lets start with LSU:

Ok so my tigers did not make even a regional for baseball this which is understandable because they were really bad year. Smoke is out and now is the scramble to find a new head coach. I hope LSU quickly figures out that it is not always the coach but recruiting that wins games. Our facilities or not top notch, and building a new ballpark should not be the end.

As for football, I could not be more excited about the year coming but especially to see who wins the starting position. Whoever wins though will have a tough time with a rough road schedule this year. Alley Brousard should bring excitement to our offense, and wide receiver Corp should improve if X-factor can catch as well as he can run (congratulations to Carter for dominating the Track and field events).

Saints:
All I am going to say if Reggie Bush! We have a horrible defense but if Sean Payton doesn't put deuce and Bush in the same backfield then I am going to throw everything at the T.V. I like Sean Payton except his inability to pick up contributing defensive players. I am excited and can't wait to see what they bring to the table this year. One final question, "How did Hasslet get to draft a cornerback in the first round as defensive coordinator for the rams but as head coach of the saints we never got a cornerback first round?"
That is it for now but more to follow....
