Bracketology

THE BIG DANCE!!! No, I am not talking about any line dance or a very large man at a wedding on the dance floor, but I am talking about one of the most exciting times of the year. The NCAA tournament which includes a field of 64 teams and of course this year is no different with teams yelling about not getting into the tournament such as syracuse, or drexel. These teams will be forgotten as they lose in the NIT. I download my bracket and already started filling it out. I have enter way too many tournaments and I don't know why. The person who usually wins the tournament is someone who never watches a game all year (usually a girl who picks a team because their mascot sounded cute). Neverless I submit my entries for bragging rights that usually only last about a week. Most people won't even know who wins the tournament because they ripped up their bracket due to many loses. Some teams I like in the tournament are top favorities UNC, Florida, and Ohio St., also hot teams such as Georgetown, and A&M. Don't forget about Louisville, V.T., Tenn, Notre Dame, and Texas. My sleepers are Arkansas, VCU, and George Washington. A little tip to help you out never pick based on how much you like a team, always pick a strange mascot team to win at least one game, there will only be one one seed and maybe on two seed in the final four, and don't listen to anyone but yourself. Even the experts get it worng regularly. Good Luck and remember replays will be on all day no need to get in touble at work or school trying to find out the scores. Let's Dance our way to baldness with last minute shoots, overtime upsets, and exciting basketball for the next couple of weeks before we have to watch the NBA again!

Anna Nicole Smith

Why is this girl getting so much coverage? Please let me explain, I am said she died and I hope everything working out for the family and kids, but still the question remains why does she get so much coverage? Did she do something amazing to change society, or did she invent something to make life easier? Is she a role model to young people, or is she an artist? Did she have an album that was a voice of a generation, or did make a movie that change the way people look at a race situation? What did she do to deserve all this attention....she was naked in a magazine, she was a model for diet pill, and she was a star of a reality show. Why does American watch the drama of Anna Nicole Smith's body and child like she was the pope or the president? Why does the Media cover the drama instead of cover more about the Iraq diployment of troops? How many American's realized Britian has begun to retract all of their troops from Iraq. Yet, we are sending more troops into harms way with less and less support from not only Americans but also the United Nation countries that supported us before. Please stop this vicious cycle of crap for tv, educate yourself, and force media to show more important people and situation on tv. I want news! I want to learn and become smarter not dumber. American's should be making politicsians work harder but if people don't educate themselves and question politicians than politicians won't work harder to improve America to the country it should be. Wake up American Anna Nicole Smith is not as important as Iraq, rebuilding of New Orleans, Global Warming, citizenship, gasoline alternatives, hunger and aids in Africa, or the many other situations here in America and across the world that needs our attention. Wake up America before it is too late!

Growing up?

Everyone has those moments in life where you look at yourself and realize your are grown up and only wish you were young again. Today I was talking to an investment agent about retirement plan, let me repeat myself RETIREMENT PLAN!!!! First I am too young to even think about reitrement, second I want to retire now, and lastly I am too young to think about retirement. I wish I was younger. I should have never graduated! I hate only having two weeks vacation! I don't like being in debt! It is funny how when we were younger we want to be older, but when we are older we want to younger. This is a vicious cycle of life!

One Amazing Season!

Wow, that is all I can say about the season the New Orleans Saints just had. Last year we were 3-13, last in the division, and looking to move to San Antonio, but one season changed not only a team but a city. Many people around the US will never see the change the Saints brought to the City, because it is not externally but internally. The New Orleans Saints made a larger impact in rebuilding this city than any other person, group, company, or government. The Saints did not rebuild all the houses in the city or repair the levees to stop a hurricane, but they did rebuilt a city's spirts, and stood as an example of sucess when all around you looks like failure. People questioned whether the city should spend the money on repairing the dome when homes and neiborhoods still need to be rebuilt, but what those people didn't understand is the Saints brought millions of dollars back into the city with each game. The Saints also brought individuals from all across the county that had evacuated to other cities back to New Orleans for games and gave them more motivation to come back to the city. People will never understand the full impact of the Saints season because unless you lived under the depression of Katrina, you will never understand the exterme happiness the Saints brought to the city. The team reenergized a city and stood for all to see around the United States and say with one voice to all those who said New Orleans should not be rebuilt, that New Orleans will not come back, and that New Orleans can not support a sports franchise to "KISS OUR ASS!!!" Super XLII here we come!

Traitor

" I knew it was you Saban! You broke my heart!" - Kurt Valvis.
"My word is stronger than oak." - Jerry Maguire
"I will not take the Alabama Head Coaching job." - Nick Saban

Nick Saban said for weeks that we was not going to take the Alabama job, and when asked about the job he got upset and reinforced to everyone that he was not going to Alabama! Wrong. Wrong. Liar! He did take the job at Alabama becaue he said he missed the college game. WHAT? You left LSU because you wanted to compete on the highest level, but when time got tough he bolted. How can any recuit believe anything he says and how does any recuit trust that he will be coaching at his school or bolting for a better job or more money? He is a job jumper and always will be. If he thought LSU was tough on him or Miami was tough just wait for Alabama. Alabama isn't like LSU where LSU is the only option for top recuits to go to play football in that state, and who can't wait for Les Miles to really surpass Saban shadow by not only beating him with his former team, but also winning a national championship before Saban. Alabama fans will not like paying 4 million a year for a coach to come in third in sec behind LSU, his former team, and Auburn his arch enemy. Or what will happen when he has a losing season, and even if he does win he won't be the godfather of Alabama because that is bear bryant! Saban was the Bear Bryant at LSU but he threw it away to go to the NFL. There was another coach that was a god at Florida and threw it away to go to the NFL and upon return to college not only lost to his former team this year, but his former team is playing in the National Championship game. Saban will fail at Alabama and I will be first in line to laugh at him. I was a supporter of Saban, but what Saban did is unacceptable. He QUIT! I don't care what people say about his family or college. HE QUIT! I am still thankful for what he did to the LSU program but now he will be working to break down all that he had built. Saban, I am sorry but you are a quiter and a liar, and I can no longer be a supporter.

2nd Best?

Happy Holidays to the New York Giants as there girft this past weekend was an a$$ kicking from the New Orleans Saints. I have never been this excited about a Saints team heading into the last weekend of the regular season. There have been season where we had a chance at the playoffs but never this dominating of a season. The only weakness of this Saints team is a run defense which will be bolster up with the ddition of hollis Thomas in the playoffs. You want exciting? How about a divisional playoff in New Orleans for the first time ever. How about a chance at the NFC Championship game! How about Saints fans screaming from beginning to end at the top of their lungs which they have been saving for 6 years now. I was at the first playoff win every in Saints history and I am more excited about this game than I was after that game. I anticipate a louder crowd than every experience in the Superdome. But before we start talking about a playoff game, first we must realize Carolina is still left to play. I know some people are saying that the game versus Carolina does not matter. Wrong, Wrong, Wrong! This game is important for three reasons, one is you need to roll into the playoffs not back in, second is you can not loss twice to Carolina in a season no matter who is QB, and lastly you want work on a game play for two weeks not working on mistakes made in the last game of the season. Knowing Sean P, the team will not come out weak and the starter swill play until the saints have a comfortable lead not Carolina. I can't contain the excitement now just wait until January 13th or 14th!

The Saints are coming!

After the dismantling of the cowboys, the Saints are sitting pretty atop the South division and in contention for the lead of the NFG conference. The Saints who were predicted to finish last in their division are now talking about the Super Bowl, but before Super Bowl talks take place first the Saints need to worry about the Washington Redskins. Win this weekend would clinch the division and guarantee a bye and one home game for the playoffs. Were talking about the Saints, the Saints, not the cowboys, panthers, Seahawks, or Eagles but the Saints. The is an amazing time and whoever thought a sports team can rebuild a city needs to open their eyes to what the Saints are doing in New Orleans. Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat says gonna beat dem Saints!
