The little people in the frig

When I was little, my father had the hardest time trying to keep us from leaving the refrigerator door open. Everyday I would go into the kitchen and open the frig's door about a dozen times. My dad would get so upset and always yell at us because we were running up the electricity. So my dad told me a story and since I believed anything my dad told me it worked. He told me there was these little people hundreds of them and too small to see, but everytime you leave the door open these people escape and die because they could not survive unless they stayed in the frig. So growing up I would constantly stay away from the frig so the people wouldn't die. I didn't understand why but I accepted it because my dad told me so. As I grew I realized there wasn't little people living in the frig but by this time I understood how it will run up electricity. I guess I should be mad at my dad for lying to me but I am impressed because he got what he wanted and never had to tell to close the frig door. I plan on elabrating so many stories to my children to get my point across. I guess this was my first lesson in parenting from my dad if your children don't listen to you make up a story so they will.

The worst for me was, "a little bird told me."

If I ever find this "whistleblowing bird" I am gonna take him out back and....

Of course, I'm sure when I am aging into my late 60's I will watch alongside stunned family members at my Gulf Shores family reunion where the bird reveals himself as DEEP FEATHER, the one who tipped me off all these times to my parents working in a special cohort with my parents using a language known as birdspeak.

You will rue the day DEEP FEATHER. You will rue the day...

I think you've been going to too many midget stripping shows. You have little people embedded in your brain. Maybe leave the circus alone for a few years, and watch as much basketball as possible.
